South East Queensland has some of the most interesting rain forest in Australia. The mountainous areas of Lamington National Park, Springbrook and Mt Tamborine are a pleasant drive from Ruffles. One of our favourite drives is a circuit through Springbrook National Park into NSW enjoying the spectacular views as you descend to the Tweed valley. From Murwillumbah you follow the Tweed River to the coast, then join the Gold Coast highway back to Ruffles.
